Joint hearings resume for 3rd day in Kenner

The joint hearings by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Minerals Management Service resume Friday in Kenner. The hearings are examining the events and causes surrounding the April 20 explosion and fire which sank theDeepwater Horizon rig, killing 11 workers and causing the massive Gulf of Mexico oil spill fouling Louisiana's coast.
The hearings will begin at 8 a.m. in the Bayou Room at the Radisson New Orleans Airport Hotel, 2150 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Kenner. They will continue tomorrow.
Witnesses scheduled to appear today:
  1. Mark Hafle - BP, providing information regarding well design
  2. Christopher Pleasant - Transocean, subsea supervisor, providing recollection of incident aboard Deepwater Horizon
  3. Greg Meche - M-I Swaco, mud engineer, providing recollection of incident aboard Deepwater Horizon
  4. Christopher Haire - Halliburton, cementer, providing recollection of incident aboard Deepwater Horizon
  5. Miles Ezell - Transocean, senior tool pusher, providing recollection of incident aboard Deepwater Horizon
  6. William Stoner - Transocean, motor operator, providing recollection of incident aboard Deepwater Horizon
