Sorta seems to have gone that way huh? Not exactly sure why. Not that there hasn't been stuff to write about. Lots. Just not making it a priority to post I guess. We have finally been blessed with something other than winter weather. Its been a long time coming. But hopefully the summer won't be a complete write-off. I got intensely busy in the last couple of months and am looking forward to a change of pace, slower. I feel like this is a function of getting back to a simpler place again now that the choices are available. And that includes trading. No one said easy. simple and easy. no. simple and highly difficult. changing the manner in which one responds and reacts. its critical to success in the trading room. you can't freeze. you have to make decisions quickly. you have to be ok with your decision because the next one is coming soon and you have to be ready for it. I am getting a huge kick out of this new direction I have chosen. No rose coloured glasses. Clear, transparent. at least to the extent practical and reasonable. The book Trading in the Zone is probably the most important read in getting your mindset for this. I can't agree more. I guess time will tell. losing days are part of the game. its the week, the month and the year that you want to make sure your trading plan in producing positive results. In the meaqntime I had the following observation the other day: After picking up my kids from school and driving in the first summer long weekend traffic of the year, I had a thought. Six lanes of traffic. All different souls. Gitting the heck outta dodge, cuz that just what you do on a summer long weekend right? Ok, that’s another story. Piles of negative energy exploding from people’s perceived miserable lives. They can beat the system. Cut across three lanes of traffic to take the next off ramp - there’s a quicker way. People constantly changing lanes, crunching up against their new neighbor, urging them to urge the next and the next and the next. And then exiting early. Or entering in too quickly or too late and having to take avoidance maneuvers. Wait. And I see the volume/time sales chart – and I hear the moderator's commentary. This is just like the market. Finding the flow, and driving with it. And being ok with the flow that is. Pick your opportunity and take it. Then move onto the next. Quiet, gentle, and peaceful. Yes it really is that simple.
