Is it just me or does this not seem like you've put the fox in with the chickens. I suppose that means that you subscribe to the notion that the Treasury has played some sinister role in the financial collapse thus far. I do. As I do with the Fed. As I do with the Central Banking scheme. As I do with the Power Elite. BUT, that aside, putting a watchdog Bureau inside the Treasury means that the "independence" of the relationship is compromised from the beginning. Many might raise the issue of ethics, and integrity, professionalism, and the sort. I think we have seen in my view enough evidence of quite the contrasting behaviours from the folks that are steering the ship. But then that may be just as I see it. Who knows. Watch and Learn.

The chairman of the Senate Banking Committee on Friday proposed creating a Bureau of Financial Protection inside the Treasury Department to regulate mortgages, credit cards, payday loans and other consumer products.
