Is there any more wonder why we walk this path of denial?

It is my belief that with circumstances as they are, (um)employment, tight credit, lost value in assets, etc., there are so many people scared about what the reality is that they do a variety of things to not see what they should see (yes, I have a famous background to demonstrate my own skill in this arena).  Like the Scotia Bank commercial, the fella who doesn't look at his statement, can't.  Or the people that do not open their bills when they arrive in the mail, and leave a pile of unopened bills in a corner until they decide they can deal with it.

So in looking at the Harvard Business Review Magazine, I have a thought - looks at the story lines and titles.  All is cherry and roses, the air is sweet with rebound and redemption of the ways of credit and debt.  We're all going to be OK.  And this is from a pretty respected business organization and communicator.  Taken together with the rest of the MSM - in my view all the failure in trust, integrity and confidence - we have every right to hide.

The picture is painted with glee.  The story behind the frame is not as healthy.  The structural flaws in the system remain.  The Right of Property Law has been shattered and the trust in Big Government has been annihilated!  But really, do we need everyone to keep towing the politically correct line and saying just what everyone thinks they want to hear?
