Carbon tax policies gaining acceptance?

The Chief Financial Officer of Marathon Oil speaks with Bloomberg and acknowledges that carbon taxes are  gaining acceptance at the policy level.  This is similar to the types of conversations I am hearing more of.  The advancement of opportunities to improvements in overall economic, social, and environmental aspects is encouraged.  The key is to have a balanced approach that is reasonable and practical to execute while providing the desired results - a balance of expectations is important.
