Korthoff succeeded by motivating his subordinates with what he calls the ''three R's of management'' -- respect, recognition, and remuneration. Says he: ''People respond when you show that you trust their judgment, encourage them to share in a feeling of pride in the company's growth, and pay them for what they contribute to the effort.''Herbert Korthoff is a corporate turn-around specialist and would certainly seem to follow his own advice.

Supercharge your career
In doing some side research on a completely different subject, I came across this - the Three R's of Management. I agree with them whole heartedly and thought it made for a worthwhile post.
