Ocean City Beach Patrol officials say a 25-foot-long whale carcass has washed ashore at the resort town.
Butch Arbin, beach patrol captain, says the tide carried the carcass ashore around Sixth Street Thursday about 5:15 p.m.

Arbin says crews tied a lasso to the creature's tail and the Coast Guard will try to pull it out to sea.
