This news is not as shocking as it might be. But it is once again a staggering expression of the type of people that entered that mythical zone of the last years of raising markets .... everywhere. The realization of less than a million AUM and that more than a million was secretly transferred out of country should be shocking. How many more of these will there be?

New York, Florida, Idaho, Minnesota, California, Tennessee, the list keeps growing.

The Hedge Fund Implode and their related sites have over 100 funds exposing their belly since 2006.

So much of what is being written is focused on where were the regulators? How did these funds stay hidden for so long? And then they go to list what red flags were seen. And then they go on to discuss the need for transparency and oversight of these unregulated funds. So what part of this doesn't compute? Why di those with the job of oversight do anything? ok maybe they did something, but they didn't do their jobs. Fraud Article (2005)
