The loss of a historic site in Waterton Park

I was shocked to hear the news of the destruction of the Kilmorey Lodge in Waterton early this morning. Four guests were evacuated safely but the building was reduced to tinder and rubble. A very sad moment. Lost as well during the fire were all the antique and historic materials like photographs from the 90 years of history this building witnessed. It was a special experience to enjoy your company, your meal, your relaxation and your bed for the night. The vistas, trails, and wildlife are outstanding and an added bonus to the historical atmosphere.
